AMSI Summer Symposium in Bioinformatics

BioInfoSummer provides an introduction to the broad research area of Bioinformatics for students and early career researchers from mathematical and biological sciences.

The workshop features:

  • Introductory lectures on biology and bioinformatics
  • Keynote speakers highlighting current research
  • Hands-on practicals using bioinformatics software
  • Sessions of contributed talks and posters

Each day had a different theme:

  • Monday 29th November, Introduction to Biology and Genomics
  • Tuesday 30th November, Methods in Bioinformatics
  • Wednesday 1st December, Genetic variation and disease
  • Thursday 2nd December, Transcriptomics
  • Friday 3rd December, Phylogenetics
