New and stronger links with business, industry and government are being established under the guidance of the Industry Advisory Committee which comprises eminent figures in Australian business, and industry and is chaired by Prof. Bill Appelbe, Director of the Victorian Partnership for Advance Computing (VPAC).

The AMSI program in association with the ARC and MASCOS, seeks to identify industry needs and opportunities that can be addressed using the mathematical sciences.

AMSI highlights the relevance of mathematics to industry through wide-ranging industry-linked activities including:

• Industry workshops
• Mathematical and statistical consulting services

The activities showcase the benefits of using mathematical tools in business, industry and government.
